The LCD photo-etchings were kindly supported by the Fine Arts Academy Mulhouse and produced during myartist residence with Kunsthalle Mulhouse and in collaboration with CNRS Mulhouse in 2010.
The process is the reproduction of the LCD expanded cinema installation dealing with liquid crystals. What ment to me mostly was the depth of the image while the life projection goes on, and that is hard to imitate with any digital photography. The process of photo etching provides this meaningful depth back again on the print, simply due to the technique of printing a photo etching, pressing a copper plate onto the paper.
